Stairway Joinery began life in 1983 as a small two-man team, and it has only grown bigger and better since then.
We now have twelve skilled surveyors, fitters, drivers, estimators, manufacturers, and receptionists, who all work together to make Stairway Joinery the South’s number one staircase specialists.

Bryan was one of 6 partners that started the business back in 1983. He is well known throughout the industry and spends much of his time visiting customers, building and improving relationships. Bryan carries out surveying duties albeit on a part time basis. Bryan is a keen golfer and takes pride in his garden.
Nick has been with the company for 7 years where prior to that he worked as an Architectural Technician for a local house builder. Nick has a degree in Business Management and also achieved first-class honours in a degree in Architectural Technology. Nick loves the variety of the job and enjoys meeting and engaging with people to assist them with the design of their bespoke staircase.
Nick enjoys running, and visiting the gym and his main passion outside of work is motorsport and coaching his son's football team.
Mark has been with the company for over 23 years and has worked in every area of the company, starting out as an apprentice, he gained knowledge of the machine shop before moving on the benches to put stairs together and then on to setting out and helping to manage the shop floor.
Mark now surveys and his excellent understanding of the product ensures he can deal with the most challenging scenarios.
Jamie & Kieron have worked for Stairway for over 8 years now and run the fitting team on behalf of Stairway Joinery. Daily duties include the fitting of new staircases in both the public and private sector, the fitting of conversion work to existing staircases and templating and fitting glass where required. They like to ensure they are liaising with customers at all points of the fitting process to ensure they deliver the best product and service they can.
Jamie is a very good golfer and an avid Arsenal fan whilst Kieron supports Liverpool.
Jamie & Kieron have worked for Stairway for over 8 years now and run the fitting team on behalf of Stairway Joinery. Daily duties include the fitting of new staircases in both the public and private sector, the fitting of conversion work to existing staircases and templating and fitting glass where required. They like to ensure they are liaising with customers at all points of the fitting process to ensure they deliver the best product and service they can.

Pete is Stairway’s main driver and travels across the South Coast delivering staircases and stair components. He has been with the company over 5 years and has built up a good rapport with many of our customers due to his friendly and helpful nature.
Jon has worked for Stairway Joinery for 16 years and main duties include drawing and pricing plans off tender documents and survey sheets, checking and collating all outbound quotes, assisting with I.T solutions and liaising with customers both over the phone and face to face when they visit our workshop.
Jon’s interests include anything football related, spending time with his family and walks with their dog
Les has almost been with the company as long as they have been running, his employment with Stairway Joinery spans back 36 years. Les is one of the most helpful and knowledgeable employees of the company and his previous experiences include working on the shop floor making staircases to his role these days, which is designing and estimating stairs and dealing with technical queries on the manufacturing and fitting of stairs.
Les’ main interests outside of work include watching rugby and motorcycle races and getting out on his own motorbike with his mates.
Along with Bryan, Barry started the company back in 1983. Barry is responsible for managing the shop floor and manufacturing many of our very specialist staircases.
Outside of work Barry loves to play golf and anything construction related, so can often be found helping friends and family with their various projects.
Caroline and Nicki share receptionist/ front office duties generally doing half a day each every day of the week.
They are the first person our customers will speak to in most cases dealing with all incoming calls. They also raise most of the jobs and prepare invoices, sort stair delivery dates, liaise with customers on any queries they have and prepare and send off all our quotes.
Caroline has been with the company 5 years and Nicki has been with us for 7 years.
Outside interests include holidays and spending time with family and friends.
